HUSQVARNA 550 XP® Mark II
Description
The second generation of Husqvarna’s 550 XP® chainsaw is ready for demanding use in your felling, limbing and bucking operations. The saw delivers maximum power in the 50cc class. Designed for professional forestry and tree care crews, this durable saw has improved power and a slimmed-down design. A host of innovative features guarantee comfortable and efficient operation, season after season.
The AutoTune™ system continuously adjusts for fuel and altitude. If the saw is bogging after a change in conditions, perform a field reset: let the saw idle for 3–5 minutes, then make a continuous wide-open throttle (WOT) cut in a large log for at least 30 seconds. This allows the microprocessor to re-calibrate for optimal performance.
Those large nylon washers are transport spacers used to protect the saw during shipping. You should remove and discard them before installing your guide bar and clutch cover. Leaving them on will prevent the bar from seating correctly and can lead to chain tensioning issues.
The 550 XP® Mark II is a fully redesigned second‑generation 50cc chainsaw with higher cutting capacity, improved cooling and durability, and more refined ergonomics compared to the original 550 XP®.The 550 XP® Mark II is more durable because it features a fully redesigned cooling system, improved air filtration and sealing, and pro‑grade retained components (bar nuts and starter screws) that reduce heat stress, debris wear, and parts loss in daily professional use.
